Privacy Policy — PlugFai

Last updated: 2026-09-17

This Privacy Policy explains how the PlugFai application (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information. The App is operated by L&J Digital Solutions LLC, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). We act as the data controller for the limited personal data described below, and we process it in accordance with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”) and other applicable laws.

1. Overview

The App helps electric-vehicle (EV) drivers in Thailand find charging stations and understand how to use them. In the current version (MVP):

2. What we collect and how we use it

2.1 Location (GPS)

2.2 Location shared with third-party services (only when you use those features)

When you use certain features, your location or destination is sent to a third-party service solely to fulfil the feature you requested. We do not retain it:

Feature What is sent Third party
Map display map tile requests (which reveal your approximate map area and IP address) OpenStreetMap / OpenFreeMap
Trip planner (routing) origin and destination coordinates OSRM (routing demo service)
Search / geocoding search text and, for “near me” searches, an approximate location Photon
“Navigate” handoff the destination address/coordinates your chosen navigation app (e.g. Google Maps)

Each of these third parties processes the data under its own privacy policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their processing.

2.3 Preferences and trip plans (stored on your device only)

2.4 Technical data

3. Charging-station data

Station information shown in the App is compiled from third-party open-data sources: OpenStreetMap (ODbL), Open Charge Map (CC BY 4.0), and data.go.th (DGA Open Government License). These datasets describe charging infrastructure and contain no personal data about you.

4. How we share data

5. Data storage and retention

6. Your rights under the PDPA

As a data subject you have the right to:

  1. Access and obtain a copy of your personal data;
  2. Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  3. Delete, destroy, or anonymise your data;
  4. Restrict processing;
  5. Object to processing;
  6. Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format);
  7. Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent, such as location permission); and
  8. Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) in Thailand.

Because the App holds no accounts and stores no personal data on our servers, the simplest way to exercise most of these rights is to revoke the App’s location permission in your device settings, or uninstall the App (which deletes all locally stored preferences and trip plans). For any other request, contact us using the details in §9.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and/or on our website, and the revised date will be shown at the top. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
